The New Statesman is looking for entries for its annual New Media Awards: http://www.newstatesman.com/newmedia. Now in their eighth year, the awards celebrate UK new media projects that have made a significant contribution towards society, government or democracy.
We are seeking nominations from professionals and individuals connected with the new media and/or political spheres. The awards are open to any project based in the UK.
The theme of this year’s awards is “The Power of Ideas” - with a special emphasis on innovation, usability and efficiency, elements necessary for new media to have a positive impact.
The closing date for all nominations is 31 May 2006. Making a nomination is free and easy. Simply fill out the short nomination form online at: http://www.newstatesman.co.uk/nma/nma2006/nma2006nominatenow.php
You are welcome to enter your own work as well as nominating others, and can make as many nominations as you like.
Winners will be announced at our exclusive, invitation-only event in July.
